English: Module 5

Description

Getting to know people, playing sports, discussing hobbies and dreaming about a holiday are only a few of the topics in this module. Learn how to ask the right questions, talk about past events and write your own postcard the next time you go on holiday.

Module 5 covers three chapters of the level 2 of English:

English 2a: Getting to know people 

Are you a sociable person? Do you like getting to know new people? How better to do that in English than to learn all about asking the right questions! Clear communication is an important skill in any language. Ask and answer questions about your hobbies and read about Mark’s family and their favourite leisure activities.

English 2b: Playing sports

Sports – an important topic of small talk and many people’s favourite hobby. How many sports do you know in English? Where is baseball played? Have you ever been to an ice hockey rink? Learn how to describe pictures, just like the athletes, help Bob the referee answer questions for an interview and watch a video about sports in the UK!

English 2c: My last holiday

When was your last holiday? Where did you go? What did you do? Learn all about popular tourist activities like sunbathing on the beach and buying souvenirs! Practice your travel skills with an airport notice. Read the postcards from Thailand, Ireland and the seaside and discuss the adventures. After completing this unit you’ll be able to talk about your favourite travels like a pro!
