Maria hails from Kazan, a bilingual and culturally diverse city on the Volga River. Her passion for languages ​​and people's stories led her to study Russian philology, a master's degree in Romance-Germanic philology, and is currently completing a PhD in cultural studies, where she is researching how people preserve memories of their lives in local museums.

Teaching is more than just the transfer of knowledge for her – it is a sincere encounter between people. Marija believes that language is best learned through context, feeling and conversation.
